| Byblis |
Byblis are among the most fascinating carnivorous plants of Australia, often called “rainbow plants” thanks to their leaves densely covered with glandular hairs that shimmer in the sunlight. These sticky hairs act as natural traps for insects, while the glistening droplets create a colorful, iridescent effect. Byblis thrive in warm, sunny conditions with consistently moist soil. Most species are annuals, germinating quickly and flowering readily, usually producing delicate, purple blossoms. Thanks to their striking appearance and relatively easy care, they are popular for more advanced carnivorous plant enthusiasts. Byblis are truly beautiful plants, though a little sensitive. We recommend handling them with care when repotting and suggest personal pickup whenever possible, as it provides the best conditions. Shipping is available, but please note that it can sometimes be a bit stressful for the plants.
