Butterwort Pinguicula ‘Apasionada’ is a very easy-to-grow butterwort hybrid of P. moctezumae × P. gigantea ‘Alba’. It can reach an impressive size, much like P. gigantea, but produces elongated leaves that are significantly wider and thicker than those of pure P. moctezumae.
This beautiful hybrid produces large, showy flowers and blooms readily throughout almost the entire year. This hybrid doesn’t form typical winters rosettes, only leaves are little bit smaller. Plant could stay all year on windowsill, only in winter better is to reduce watering.
A true natural fly trap – highly effective at catching small flying insects such as fruit flies, fungus gnats, and mosquitoes!

during winter. During this period, they produce compact winter rosettes composed of smaller leaves, which often differ significantly in size and appearance from the larger summer rosettes. While dormant, the plants should be provided with appropriate conditions and the substrate moisture should be significantly reduced. For international orders, plants are typically shipped in a sealed plastic bag with a small amount of moist material to maintain humidity and ensure safe transport. To reduce shipping costs, plants are usually sent without pots or substrate. Upon request, pots and substrate
can be included; however, this will increase the shipping cost due to the additional weight.
